     Katherine Rote was born in 1811 at Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 She married Jacob Kiess, son of Christopher Kiess and Christina Sheets, in 1837.2 Katherine Rote died on 12 December 1840 at Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 29 years.1 She was buried in the Anthony Baptist Church Cemetery, located in Anthony Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
     Katherine Rote was also known as Catharine.2
