William B. Updegraff was born in 1845.1 He was the son of Daniel Updegraff and Catherine Bennett.1 William B. Updegraff married Annie E. Elliot, daughter of Ralph Elliot, on Thursday, 10 December 1868 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, by the Reverend William Simenton.1 William B. Updegraff died in 1918 at age 73 years.1 He was buried in the Wildwood Cemetery, located in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1
William left a will - Will Book #17, page 400 Lycoming County, PA - made 11 Mar 1912, registared 18 Mar 1918, in which is mentioned the Updegraff Hotel (now the Ross Hotel) that he co-owned with his brother Fremont in Williamsport PA.
