Kermit Johnson Schmidt was born on 3 July 1910 at Flat Rock, Crawford County, Illinois.1,2 He married, at age 32, Margaret Caroline Foltz, age 22, daughter of William Edwin Foltz and Mabel Melrose McNees, on Sunday, 30 August 1942 at Muskogee, Muskogee County, Oklahoma.1 Kermit Johnson Schmidt died on 9 April 1980 at Tulsa, Tulsa County, Oklahoma, at age 69 years, 9 months and 6 days.1,2
Kermit attended OBU where he became friends with Porter Routh and toured Europe one summer. He transferred to OU and graduated with a BS degree in business in 1934. He took classes towards a CPA at the University of Chicago and then attended Suthern Seminary, where he married Margaret. They moved to Radford, Virginia in 1943 while awaiting their visa to travel to Brazil. Upon returning from Brazil he became the business manager for Bacone College in Muskogee.1 According to the Social Security Administrations Death Index Kermit's last known residence was Tulsa, Tulsa County, Oklahoma.2
