Isaiah Carpenter married, at age 24, July Ann Updegraff, age 25, daughter of Joseph Updegraff and Mary Slaughenwhite, on Thursday, 9 March 1893 at Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, by the Reverend H. F. Cares.1
