George M. Kurtz was born on 9 January 1876 at Marion County, Ohio. He was the son of Jacob Kurtz and Christina Kober. George M. Kurtz married, at age 33, Orpha Ann Sherman, age 22 on Sunday, 31 January 1909. George M. Kurtz died on 13 December 1953 at Galion, Crawford County, Ohio, at age 77 years, 11 months and 4 days. He was buried in the Fairview Cemetery, located in Polk Township, Crawford County, Ohio.
