     Dorothy E. Leavy was born on 15 October 1915 at Upper Fairfield Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.6,7,4 She was the daughter of George L. Leavy and Elizabeth M. Slagenwhite.8,9 Dorothy E. Leavy married Leonard W. Mitcheltree circa 1935.10,5 Dorothy E. Leavy died on 14 May 2004 at Williamsport Hospital, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 88 years, 6 months and 29 days.11,4 She was buried on 17 May 2004 in the Twin Hills Memorial Park, located in Fairfield Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend Lynn A. Wheeler.12
     Dorothy E. Leavy was listed in Kathryn M. Leavy's obituary on 23 February 2003 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, as her sister.13 Her obituary was published on 15 May 2004 Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary stated:

     Dorothy E. Mitcheltree, 88, of Montoursville, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 14, 2004, at the Williamsport Hospital. Her husband, Leonard W. Mitcheltree, died on Jan. 3, 1977.

She was born in Upper Fairfield Township on Oct. 15, 1915, daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Sloganwhite) Leavy.

Dorothy attended the Community Baptist Church, Montoursville and had worked at the former Carey McFalls in Montgomery for 29 years, retiring in 1976.

She is survived by one son, Donald W. (Barbara) Mitcheltree of Muncy, and one daughter, Joan L. (Fred) Robinson of Montoursville. Five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive her. She was predeceased by a brother, Lloyd Leavy, and a sister, Katheryn Van Dine.

Funeral services will be held Monday 1:30 p.m. at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 East Water St., Hughesville, with the Rev. Lynn A. Wheeler, Community Baptist Church, Montoursville, officiating. Interment will be in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy. Friends will be received at the funeral home Monday 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

The family will provide the flowers and suggest that memorial contributions be made in Dorothy’s name to the Community Baptist Church Building Fund, 1853 Route 87, Montoursville, PA 17754.9 According to the Social Security Administrations Death Index Dorothy's last known residence was Montoursville, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.4
