     Clara B. Kurtz was born in April 1863 at Warrensville, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2 She was the daughter of Isaak Kurz and Katharina Miller.1 Clara B. Kurtz died on 10 July 1948 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 85 years and 3 months.3 She was buried in the Wildwood Cemetery, located in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1
     She was a teacher at Clayhole School in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania for 14 years until she became deaf in her 40's.1
