Eleanor Irene Carl was born in 1915. She was the daughter of Lynn B. Carl and Carrie Krise. Eleanor Irene Carl married George W. Kehrer, son of Walter Edward Kehrer and Carrie A. Winter, on Sunday, 13 July 1952. Eleanor Irene Carl died on 11 January 2003 at in the Montoursville Cemetery, located in Montoursville, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 88 years.

Eleanor Irene Kehrer, 88, of Glenwood Ave., Williamsport, died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003, at her home. She was a daughter of Lynn B. and Carrie Krise Carl. Her husband, George W. Kehrer, predeceased her on April 3, 2001.
She is survived by her brother, Dr. Kenneth E. Carl of Williamsport, and her sister, Alice Maguire of Oak Lawn, IL; a nephew, Raymond Kehrer; three nieces, Joann Ertel, Marilyn Seeling and Susan Best; four great nephews; five great nieces; two grand nephews and two grand nieces all from the Williamsport area, and two nieces and two nephews and their families from the Chicago area.
Eleanor graduated from the Williamsport High School Class of 1931, Mansfield University in 1933 and Pennsylvania State University in 1943 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. She retired after 38 years of teaching elementary school in the Williamsport, North Run and Pine Run schools. She was acting principal at Franklin School for 10 years. She was a lifetime member of First United Methodist Church and its Semper Fidelis Sunday School Class, a former choir member and Sunday School teacher.
She co-authored a book, tThree Who Cared,A and her article, tKnowing That You Helped,A was one of three chosen to be published in the Bicentennial Pennsylvania book.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, from Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., with the Rev. Drs. Dennis L. Otto and Robert L. Close, her pastors, officiating. Burial will be in Montoursville Cemetery. Friends may call at Sanders from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday. The family will provide the flowers.
