     Martha Shields was born on 7 February 1765 at York, York County, Province of Pennsylvania, America. She married Andrew Marshall circa 1789 at York County, Province of Pennsylvania, America.1 Martha Shields died on 7 February 1849 at Anthony Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 84 years.2 She was buried in the Emery Cemetery, located in Anthony Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
     Martha Shields also went by the name of Mattie.
