Kurtz died on 22 September 1899 at Eldred Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 9 months and 6 days.2,5 He was buried in the Kurtz Family Cemetery, located in Eldred Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.6
     He and William J. Kurtz were twin brothers.
