Sarah Mae Lundy was born on 24 February 1925 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2,3 She was the daughter of Mahlon W. Lundy and Alta Rachel Rathmell.2 Sarah Mae Lundy married Clair R. Paulhamus, son of Verus Levi Paulhamus and Della Viola Roller, circa 1945.1,2 Sarah Mae Lundy died on 7 June 1976 at Divine Providence Hospital, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 51 years, 3 months and 14 days.2,3 She was buried on 10 June 1976 in the State Road United Methodist Church Cemetery, located in Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend Elwood Hollopeter.2
Sarah Mae Lundy was employed at the Williamsport Area High School in 1970.2 Her obituary was published sometime in June 1976 in the local paper, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary stated:
Mrs. Sarah Mae Paulhamus, 51, wife of Clair Paulhamus, of Williamsport RD 2, died at 12:30 p.m. Monday, June 7, 1976, in Divine Providence Hospital, where she had been a medical patient since April 13.
Mrs. Paulhamus has been an employee at the Williamsport High School cafeteria until her illness.
She was a member of Maple Springs United Methodist Church, where she had been Sunday School pianist for three years. She was a member of the Missionary Society of the church.
Born in Williamsport February 24, 1925, she was a daughter of Mahlon and Alta Rathmell Lundy.
Surviving, besides her husband, are two sons, Gary, of this city; and Ronald S., at home; two brothers, Bruce Lundy, of this city; and Carl Lundy of South Williamsport; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Hehle and Miss Ruth Lundy, both of this city, and one grandchild.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at State Road United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Elwood Hollopeter, her former pastor, officiating. Burial will be in State Road Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the church Thursday from non to 2 p.m.2 According to the Social Security Administrations Death Index Sarah's last known residence was Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3
