     Carl L. Bower was born on 3 June 1918 at Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of George L. Bower and Laura Mae Burr. Carl L. Bower married Viola M. Hakes, daughter of Alphous Beebe Hakes and Chrissie Viola Maley, circa 1944. Carl L. Bower died on 14 April 1990 at Cogan Station, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 71 years, 10 months and 11 days.1 He was buried in the Balls Mills Cemetery, located in Balls Mills, Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1
