Clyde E. Ressler, 90, of 1172 Yeagle Road, Montoursville, died Thursday, December 13, 2007 at Millville Health Center.
Clyde and his wife the former Evelyn I. Ross celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary on October 27.
He was born June 28, 1917 in Cogan Station and was the son of John and Carrie Waltz Ressler.
He was a farmer in Balls Mills, retired in 1965 from Valley Farms and the former Dairylee; He also had been a milkman and peddled ice. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Clyde served his country in the army during WWII.
He is survived two sons, Clyde E. Ressler, Jr. and Ross Ressler both of Chesterton, IN; two daughters, Kathleen Chapman, Montoursville, Carol Smith, Muncy; one brother, Donald Ressler, Allentown; eleven grandchildren; twenty four great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son, John Thomas Ressler; three brothers, Kenneth Ressler, Carl Ressler, Melvin Ressler; three sisters, Hazel Snyder, Helen Snyder, Esther Lehman.
Funeral services will be held at a 11 a.m. on Monday, December 17, 2007 at Kaufman Funeral Home, 2102 Northway Road with the Rev. Glen Myers of First Baptist Church, Warrensville. Burial will be in Montoursville Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
