Kathryn M. Usmar was born on 13 December 1917. She was the daughter of Mildred C. Usmar. Kathryn M. Usmar first married Robert Kenneth Bower, son of William Christopher Bower and Grace Garnet Martz, in 1937.1 Kathryn M. Usmar married a second time Harry Gottschall Jr., son of Harry Gottschall and Ada Alma Narhar, circa 1948. Kathryn M. Usmar died on 31 May 2002 at age 84 years, 5 months and 18 days.

Kathryn M. Gottschall, 84, of 2341 Quaker State Road, Montoursville, died Friday, May 31, 2002, at Valley View Nursing Center.
She was born December 13, 1917 in Montoursville. Kathryn retired as a LPN from the former Carey McFall in Montoursville.
The widow of Harry Gottschall, Jr., who died October 17, 1999, she is survived by a son, Kenneth R. Bower of Burke Burnett, TX, a daughter, Mildred "Tootie" Harner of Pennsdale, 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville, with Rev. William E. Rall, retired United Methodist minister, officiating. Burial will be in Twin Hills Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home, Tuesday, from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
