Katherine Campbell was born on 24 August 1925 at Piatt Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2 She was the daughter of Frank W. Campbell and Josephine R. Carpenter. Katherine Campbell married, at age 20, Clifford Edgar Fisher, age 29, son of Harry Myers Fisher and Myrtle Winnie Greenaway, on Friday, 15 March 1946.1 Katherine Campbell died on 6 June 2005 at age 79 years, 9 months and 13 days.2
Her obituary was published on 9 June 2005 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary stated:
Katherine C. Fisher, 79, formerly of Windy Ridge Road, Cogan Station, died Monday, June 6, 2005, in Sycamore Manor.
Born in Piatt Township August 24, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Josephine Carpenter Campbell. Katherine’s husband, Clifford E. Fisher, predeceased her May 22, 2002.
She had been a member of the Quiggleville United Methodist Church since 1946 and was also a member of the church Missionary Society. The joys of Katherine’s life were her family and her church.
She is survived by her children, Nancy E. Fodor of Dover, N.H., Mary Ann Kovach of Hampstead, N.H., David H. Fisher of Cogan Station, and Floyd E. Fisher of Goodyear, Ariz; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held 11:30 a.m. Monday from Sanders’ Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., with the Rev. George Spencer, Sycamore Manor Chaplain, officiating. Burial will be in State Road Cemetery, Cogan Station. The visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until service time Monday at Sanders’.
