Russell C. Hensley was born on 25 October 1931 at Argillite, Greenup County, Kentucky.2 He was the son of Ernest Hensley and Lora Salyers.2 Russell C. Hensley married Phyllis Tackett circa 1953.1 Russell C. Hensley married Beulah Faye Coffee circa 1978.2 Russell C. Hensley died on 27 November 2008 at Argillite, Greenup County, Kentucky, at age 77 years, 1 month and 2 days.2 He was buried in the Whitt Cemetery, located in Argillite, Greenup County, Kentucky.2
Russell C. Hensley was also known as Billy.2 His obituary was published sometime in November 2008 in the local paper, printed in Argillite, Greenup County, Kentucky. His obituary stated:
Russell C. "Billy" Hensley, 77, of Argillite, died Thursday in Argillite.
He was born Oct. 25, 1931, in Argillite, the son of the late Lora Salyers Hensley and Ernest Hensley. He was the husband of Beulah Faye Coffee Hensley, who survives.
He was a laborer for Local 1445 of Catlettsburg and a member of Danleyton Missionary Baptist Church. He was a 32nd-degree Master Mason at Smith Lodge 775, F&AM.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Regina Franz; and two brothers, Johnny Douglas Hensley and Thurman Luther Hensley.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Timothy Russell Hensley of Argillite; and two daughters, Kimberly Hutchinson of Danleyton and Rosetta Hall of Winchester; a brother, Marvin Hensley; seven grandchildren, Jeremy, Courtney and Andrew Hutchinson, Sean Franz, Elizabeth Scaggs, Michelle Caudill and Jared Hall; and a great-grandson, Brandon Caudill.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods by Dr. Tom Melvin and Jimmy Thorpe. Burial will be in Whitt Cemetery in Argillite.
Visitation will be after 11 a.m. today at the funeral home.2
