     John Passmore Tanner was born on 20 August 1800 at Chester County, Pennsylvania. He married, at age 29, Rhoda VanBibber, age 22, daughter of James VanBibber and Lois Reynolds, on Tuesday, 11 May 1830 at Greenup County, Kentucky. John Passmore Tanner died on 22 April 1881 at Greenup County, Kentucky, at age 80 years, 8 months and 2 days.1 He was buried in the VanBibber Cemetery, located in Greenup County, Kentucky.1
