Rhoda VanBibber was born on 15 March 1808 at Point Pleasant, Kanawha County, Virginia. She was the daughter of James VanBibber and Lois Reynolds. Rhoda VanBibber married, at age 22, John Passmore Tanner, age 29 on Tuesday, 11 May 1830 at Greenup County, Kentucky. Rhoda VanBibber died on 7 April 1881 at Greenup County, Kentucky, at age 73 years and 23 days.
