Evalyn Josephine Livingston was born on 14 May 1916 at Wathena, Doniphan County, Kansas.1 She was the daughter of James Wesley Livingston and Anna Louetta Liechti. Evalyn Josephine Livingston married Harvey Victor Maxson. Evalyn Josephine Livingston died on 2 March 2011 at Carthage, Jasper County, Missouri, at age 94 years, 9 months and 16 days.1 She was buried on 9 March 2011 in the Bellemont Cemetery, located in Wathena, Doniphan County, Kansas.1

CARTHAGE, Mo. - Evalyn Josephine Maxson, 94, Carthage, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2011 in the Carthage Health and Rehab Center, Carthage.
Evalyn Josephine Maxson was born May 14, 1916, in Wathena, Kan., the daughter of James Wesley Livingston and Anna Louetta (Leichti) Livingston. She attended the Elwood Public Schools, was a graduate of Elwood High School, Class of 1934, and attended Ottawa University, Ottawa, Kan.
She married Harvey "Rudy" Victor Maxson on April 9, 1938 in Oskalosa, Kan; he preceded her in death on June 3, 2003.
She was a teacher for the Elwood Kansas School System, retiring in 1980; a member of the First Baptist Church, Carthage; and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include two daughters: Lou (Marvin) Floyd, Carthage; and Garnet (Walter) Stout, Carthage; two sisters: Grace Thacker, Bethany, Mo; and Joy Dom Browe, Wathena, Kan; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Maxson; one son, Larry Maxson; one sister, Garnet Adams; and three brothers, Gerald, LaVerne, and Phillip Livingston.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, at Knell Mortuary, Carthage.
Elwood, Kan., arrangements: Visitation from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, in the Elwood Community Church, followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m., Rev. Ron Franklin will officiate. Burial will be in Belmont Cemetery, Elwood, Kan.
