John T. Fortner was born in April 1866.1 He was the son of Elisha F. Fortner and Sarah Jane Day. John T. Fortner married Eloise Bolinger, age 18, daughter of Benjamin Bolinger and Sarah Ann Yoakum, on Sunday, 13 April 1890.1 John T. Fortner died on 5 January 1948 at age 81 years and 9 months.1
