     Samuel Gibson Updegraff Jr. was born on 8 February 1890 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of Samuel Gibson Updegraff and Susan Estelle Stevens. Samuel Gibson Updegraff Jr. was baptized, at age 3 years, 10 months and 16 days, on Sunday, 24 December 1893 at Lycoming Presbyterian Church, Newberry, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2 He married, at age 31, Grace Alta Aderhold, age 25, daughter of Harry Edward Aderhold and Martha Maria Kleese, on Tuesday, 21 June 1921 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2 Samuel Gibson Updegraff Jr. died in February 1978 at age 87 years and 11 months.1
