Howard C. Ulmer

     Howard C. Ulmer was born on 25 April 1916 at Salladasburg, Mifflin Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Jacob D. Ulmer and Inez B. Williamson. Howard C. Ulmer married Lora E. Persun circa 1939. Howard C. Ulmer died on 31 January 2001 at Roseview Manor, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 84 years, 9 months and 6 days. He was buried on 3 February 2001 in the Salladasburg Cemetery, located in Salladasburg, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
     His obituary was published on 2 February 2001 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:

     Howard C. Ulmer, 84, of 9463 N. Route 220 Highway, Jersey Shore, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001, in Rose View Center. He was employed by Avco Lycoming, Piper Aircraft and The Motor Mart. He was a self-employed carpenter most of his life. He attended Marantha Bible Church.

     Born April 25, 1916 in Salladasburg, he was a son of Jacob D. and Inez B. Williamson Ulmer. Surviving are his wife, the former Lora E. Persun; two sons, Merrill E. and John A., both of Jersey Shore; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Alfred, and a sister, Gladys Shemery.

     A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Salladasburg Cemetery, with the Rev. John D. Barkley officiating. There will be no visitation. The family will provide the flowers. Arrangements are being handled by Knight-Confer s, 1914 Memorial Ave.
