     Sarah Shaeffer Updegraff was born on 16 September 1816 at Long Level, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 She was the daughter of Samuel Updegraff and Sarah Shaeffer. Sarah Shaeffer Updegraff died on 23 December 1851 at Muncy, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 35 years, 3 months and 7 days.1
