     Howard R. Ulmer was born on 9 June 1917 at Salladasburg, Mifflin Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of David Elmer Ulmer and Mabel G. Blair. Howard R. Ulmer married, at age 22, Mary E. Fisher, age 18, daughter of Clarence Fisher and Elizabeth Pearl Metzger, on Wednesday, 1 May 1940 at Salladasburg United Methodist Church, Salladasburg, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, by the Reverend B. G. Fisher. Howard R. Ulmer died on 17 January 1992 at Leader Nursing Home, Jersey Shore, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 74 years, 7 months and 8 days.2,1 He was buried on 20 January 1992 in the State Road United Methodist Church Cemetery, located in Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3
     He was a farmer.
