John M. Updegrove was born on 23 March 1805 at Berks County, Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of Conrad Op Den Graeff and Maria Elizabeth Angst.1 John M. Updegrove married Elizabeth Reiss circa 1825. John M. Updegrove died in 1864 at Clinton Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 58 years.1
