Christopher Christian DeHaven was born in 1851 at Grantsville, Allegany County, Maryland. He was the son of William DeHaven and Sarah Glotfelty. Christopher Christian DeHaven married Sarah Bradley on Wednesday, 30 December 1874 at Addison Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania. Christopher Christian DeHaven died in 1932 at age 81 years.
Christopher's father owned a farm and an inn near Grantsville. In a history of Somerset County, about 1979 his son Harry says, "My father then had four teams of horses to haul lumber to the railroad. Later my parents operated an Inn in Somerfield. In 1903 the family moved to East Liverpool, Ohio where my parents owned and operated a bakery." He was married on 30 December 1874 to Sarah Bradley. The marriage took place in Addison Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania.
