Jacob DeHaven was born on 7 April 1780 at Northampton County, Province of Pennsylvania, USA. He was the son of William DeHaven and Maria Magdelena Hirsch. Jacob DeHaven married Catherine Hartman, daughter of Jacob Hartman and Susanna Hirsch, in 1805. Jacob DeHaven died in September 1851 at Somerset County, Pennsylvania, at age 71 years and 4 months.
Jacob moved with his parents to Somerset County about 1790. He returned to Weisenberg Township, Lehigh County (formly Northampton County) in 1805.
