Mabel E. Minier was born on 3 March 1911 at Turbotville, Lewis Township, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania.1 She was the daughter of Ralph Minier and Ida Snyder.1 Mabel E. Minier married, at age 16, Ira George Springman, age 19, son of Harry Springman and Sarah Stabler, on Saturday, 3 September 1927.2,1 Mabel E. Minier died on 27 March 2006 at Muncy Valley Skilled Nursing Center, Sullivan County, Pennsylvania, at age 95 years and 24 days.1
Her obituary was published on 28 March 2006 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary stated:
Mabel E. Springman, 95, of 515 Chestnut St., Montoursville died March 27, 2006 at Muncy Valley Skilled Nursing Center where she had been a guest.
Born March 3, 1911, in Turbotville she was the daughter of Ralph and Ida Snyder Minier.
She was the widow of Ira G. Springman, who died Oct. 29, 1984.
She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Montoursville.
Surviving her is a son, Clair A. (Marie) Springman of Montoursville; two daughters, Gloria A. Alexander and Sylvia R. (Larry) Anthony, both of Montoursville; twin sisters, Anna Smith of Montoursville and Ruth Dugan of Turbotville; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2006 at Faith United Methodist Church, 700 Fairview Drive, Montoursville, with her pastor, the Rev. Paul C. Murphy officiating. Burial will follow in Montoursville Cemetery. Friends will be received Thursday, from 10-11 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 3544 N. Progress Avenue, suite 202, Harrisburg, PA 17110.1
