Laura Denmead was born on 10 December 1895 at Tallmadge, Summit County, Ohio.1,3,4 She married Frank Ellsworth Lawrence, age 26, son of Frank Lawrence and Leota DeHaven, in December 1920.1,2,4 Laura Denmead died on 11 August 1994 at age 98 years, 8 months and 1 day.1,2,3,4 She was buried on 15 August 1994 in the Tallmadge Cemetery, located in Tallmadge, Summit County, Ohio. The funeral service was officiated by Doctor H. George Myers.4

Laura D. Lawrence, 98, died Aug. 11, 1994.
Mrs. Lawrence was a school teacher, teaching in both one-room school houses on the corner of Newton and South Avenue and also on Southeast Avenue at Six Corners in Tallmadge. She was born and lived her life in Tallmadge, was a member of the Tallmadge United Methodist Church and the Dorcas Guild, Tallmadge Country Study Club, Tallmadge Historical Society, and was a 1912 graduate of Tallmadge High School.
She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Frank E; daughter and son-in-law, Marjorie and James Henninge of Glouster, Ohio; son and daughter-in-law, Frank C. and Ruth Lawrence of Tallmadge; six grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services at 11 a.m. Monday at the Hennessy-Bagnoli Funeral Home, 339 Southwest Ave., with Dr. H. George Myers officiating. Burial at Tallmadge Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, and one hour before service on Monday. In lieu of other remembrances, donations may be given to the Tallmadge United Methodist Church.
