Harding VanBibber was born on 15 December 1842 at Greenup County, Kentucky. He was the son of Ezekiel VanBibber and Susan Rice. Harding VanBibber has also been reported to have been born April 1842. He first married, at age 21, Elizabeth Jane Artis, age 20 on Sunday, 24 April 1864 at Greenup County, Kentucky.1 Harding VanBibber married a second time, at age 70, Dora Deaton, daughter of Alex Deaton and P. Watts, on Tuesday, 15 April 1913 at Logan County, West Virginia. Harding VanBibber died on 12 November 1915 at Wellston, Jackson County, Ohio, at age 72 years, 10 months and 28 days.2 He was buried in the Ridgewood Cemetery, located in Wellston, Jackson County, Ohio.
He was a miner circa 1895. He and Elizabeth Jane Artis appeared on the census of 12 June 1900 at Wellston, 3rd Ward, Jackson County, Ohio.
