Bertha Elizabeth Boyer was born on 15 August 1903.1 She was the daughter of John M. Boyer and Mary Ann Stabler. Bertha Elizabeth Boyer was baptized at Amity Baptist Church, Amity, Yamhill County, Oregon. She married, at age 24, Ernest William Ralston, age 21 on Sunday, 25 December 1927 at Bethel, Polk County, Oregon.2
