     Cecil Brooks Preast was born on 22 October 1908 at Vinton, Nicholas County, West Virginia. He was the son of James Alonzzo Preast and Virginia Frances Brown. Cecil Brooks Preast married, at age 23, Lulu Jane Hypes, age 16, daughter of Thomas Rupert Hypes and Loretta Harrah, on Monday, 15 February 1932 at Nicholas County, West Virginia. Cecil Brooks Preast died on 11 May 1982 at Belva, Nicholas County, West Virginia, at age 73 years, 6 months and 19 days.
