Grant Emory Haire was born on 27 April 1907 at Cogan Station, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2,3,1 He was the son of George W. Haire and Myrtle Mae Roller.1 Grant Emory Haire married, at age 27, Helen S. Pepperman, age 26, daughter of Charles Ellsworth Pepperman and Sallie Edith Waltz, on Tuesday, 10 July 1934 at Maple Springs Evangelical Church, Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 Grant Emory Haire died on 22 June 1973 at age 66 years, 1 month and 26 days.2,3,5 He was buried on 26 June 1973 in the Twin Hills Memorial Park, located in Fairfield Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend Gerald G. Heilman.1,2

Grant Emory Haire, 66, of 814 Funston Avenue, died at 3:20 a.m. today, Friday, June 22, 1973, in the Williamsport Hospital. He was admitted May 31 as a medical patient.
Born April 27, 1907, in Cogan Station, he was a son of George and Myrtle Roller Haire.
He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and on its board of trustees. Mr. Haire retired recently as a maintenance man at Lycoming College. He was a member of Lycova Grange 2006 and several county, state and national grange associations. He was also a member of John F. Laedlein Lodge 707, F&AM, and Williamsport Consistory.
Surviving are his wife, the former Helen S. Pepperman; a brother, Robert, of Linden; and three sisters, Miss Dorothy Haire, of Lewisburg, Mrs. Floyd Kinley, of Cogan Station RD 2, and Mrs. Jacob Gamble, of Winter Haven, Fla.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sanders', 821 Diamond Street, with his pastor, the Rev. Gerald G. Heilman, officiating. Burial will be in Twin Hills Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. The family will provide the flowers.1
