Anna Mary Rauser

F, (8 October 1820 - 25 February 1901)
     Anna Mary Rauser was born on 8 October 1820. She married, at age 20, Johann Adam Wurster, age 21, son of Johann Adam Wurster and Eva Katharina Hornberger, on Tuesday, 9 February 1841. Anna Mary Rauser died on 25 February 1901 at age 80 years, 4 months and 17 days. She has also been reported to have died 26 February 1906. She was buried in the Saint John's Chapel Cemetery, located in Anthony Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
     She and Johann Adam Wurster came to America from Württemberg, Germany as newlyweds in 1841. They settled on a farm in Loyalsock, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. He taught German school and was a shoemaker who went from home to hommme making shoes for the entire family. He would stay at a house until the entire family had a new set of shoes. After fourteen years they moved to Pine Run where they continued to farm.
