Johann Adam Wurster

Johann Adam Wurster was born on 28 August 1819 possibly in Untermusbach, Oberamt Freudenstadt, Schwarzwaldkreis, Württemberg. He was the son of Johann Adam Wurster and Eva Katharina Hornberger. Johann Adam Wurster was christened in 1833. He married, at age 21, Anna Mary Rauser, age 20 on Tuesday, 9 February 1841. Johann Adam Wurster died on 4 April 1893 at age 73 years, 7 months and 7 days. He was buried in the Saint John's Chapel Cemetery, located in Anthony Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
He was a farmer and shoemaker. He and Anna Mary Rauser came to America from Württemberg, Germany as newlyweds in 1841. They settled on a farm in Loyalsock, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. He taught German school and was a shoemaker who went from home to hommme making shoes for the entire family. He would stay at a house until the entire family had a new set of shoes. After fourteen years they moved to Pine Run where they continued to farm.
