     Charlotte Heischle was born on 10 September 1840 at Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 She was the daughter of Friedrich K. Heischle and Catharina Scheel. Charlotte Heischle married Frederick Ludwig circa 1860. Charlotte Heischle married Philemon R. Hayes circa 1872. Charlotte Heischle died on 20 February 1924 at age 83 years, 5 months and 10 days.1
     Charlotte's surname has also been spelled as Heisley.
