Bruce Anson Paulhamus was born on 8 June 1919.2 He was the son of Anson Paulhamus and Sarah Alma Williamson. Bruce Anson Paulhamus married, at age 21, Betty Jane Updegraff, age 19, daughter of Ralph William Updegraff and Eve Marie Watts, on Friday, 25 October 1940 at Newberry United Methodist Church, Newberry, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3 Bruce Anson Paulhamus died on 16 December 2000 at age 81 years, 6 months and 8 days.2
He appeared on the census of 3 April 1930 in the household of George W. Paulhamus and Louise M. Lebzelter at Montoursville, 2nd Ward, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary was published on 20 December 2000 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:
Bruce A. Paulhamus, 81, of Boone, Iowa, formerly of Williamsport, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, at Boone Hospital where he had been a patient.
He retired from Chicago Northwestern Railroad and previously had worked for Piper Aircraft. He was a 1938 graduate of Williamsport High School and attended Penn State University. He was an Army Veteran serving in the Machine Records Unit.
Born June 8, 1919, in Anthony Township, he was a son of Anson and Alma Paulhamus.
Surviving are his wife, Evelyn of Boone, Iowa; three sons, Gary and Ken of Omaha, Neb. and Greg of Tustin, Calif; a
daughter, Carol Christensen of Plano, Texas; a sister, Jean O’Dell of Eugene, Ore; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no visitation.4
