     Martha Evil Mahaffey was born on 17 October 1896 at Linden, Woodward Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1,2 She was the daughter of William Eli Mahaffey and Nancy Jane Paulhamus. Martha Evil Mahaffey married, at age 21, Watson Isaiah Waltz, son of Immanuel J. Waltz and Sarah Duitch Marshall, on Saturday, 17 November 1917. Martha Evil Mahaffey died on 2 April 1980 at Divine Providence Hospital, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 83 years, 5 months and 16 days.3,2 She was buried on 5 April 1980 in the State Road United Methodist Church Cemetery, located in Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
     She and Watson Isaiah Waltz appeared on the census of 6 January 1920 at Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
