Lester Elmer Horn

     Lester Elmer Horn was born on 4 December 1914 at Quiggleville, Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of Ellis Wilson Horn and Sarah Matilda Paulhamus. Lester Elmer Horn married, at age 25, Mary Catherine Young, daughter of Edgar James Young and Sarah Rebecca Blair, on Saturday, 11 May 1940.1 Lester Elmer Horn died on 5 December 2004 at Williamsport Hospital, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 90 years and 1 day.1 He was buried on 9 December 2004 in the State Road United Methodist Church Cemetery, located in Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1
     His obituary was published on 6 December 2004 His obituary stated:

     Lester E. Horn, 90, of 531 Martins Road, Linden, died Sunday, Dec. 5, 2004 at the Williamsport Hospital.

Lester and his wife, the former Mary Cathrine Young, observed their 64th anniversary May 11.

Lester worked at the former Armour Leather Co. for 30 years and retired from the Jacob Gehron Co. as a carpenter. He was a member of the Mount Zion United Methodist Church and the Salladasburg Senior Citizens.

Born Dec. 4, 1914, in Quiggleville, he was the son of Ellis W. and Sarah M. Paulhamus Horn.

Surviving besides his wife, are a son, Gary L. (Martha) of Cleveland, Ohio; twin daughters, Sandra L. (Harry) Ulmer of Cogan Station and Bonita J. (Ted) Robinson of Linden; a sister, Gladys Grove of Linden; 11 grandchildren; and 31 great grandchildren.

Lester was predeceased by a sister, Elsie Horn, in 1983.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at Knight-Confer’s, 1914 Memorial Ave., with Rev. Dale L. Russell officiating. Burial will be in State Road Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.1
