Nathan Updegraff

     Nathan Updegraff was born on 3 September 1750 at York County, Province of Pennsylvania, America.¹ He was the son of Joseph Updegraff and Susannah Hussey.² Nathan Updegraff first married, at age 29, Anne Love, daughter of James Love and Faithful Richardson, on Thursday, 6 January 1780 at York County, Province of Pennsylvania, America.³ Nathan Updegraff married a second time, at age 37, Ann Lupton, age 20, daughter of Joseph Lupton and Rachel Bull, on Wednesday, 14 May 1788 at Winchester, Winchester County, Virginia.¹ Nathan Updegraff died on 3 February 1827 at Mount Pleasant, Jefferson County, Ohio, at age 76 years and 5 months.¹

Whereas Nathan Updegraff, son of Joseph Updegraff, of York Town in the County of York in Pennsylvania and Susanna his wife deceased, and Ann Love, daughter of James Love late of the Township of Newberry in said County, deceased, and Faithful his wife, (were married) this fifth day of the first month in the year one thousand seven hundred and eighty in York Town aforesaid.

On 28th day, 11th month, 1801, Nathan and wife Ann and children Joseph (Josiah in women's minutes), David, Rachel, Hannah, Nathan and Ann, were received at Westland Monthly Meeting on certificate from Crooked Run Monthly Meeting, dated 2nd day, 5th month, 1801.
