Elmer Rantz Pryor was born on 20 May 1904 at West Nanticoke, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.3 He was the son of Walter Henry Pryor and Cora Belle Frisbee. Elmer Rantz Pryor was baptized, at age 34 years, 6 months and 14 days, on Sunday, 4 December 1938 at Bethel United Presbyterian Church, Bottle Run, Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.4 He married, at age 19, Erma Alberta Sholder, age 18, daughter of Frederick Sholder and Matilda Helen Miller, on Sunday, 23 December 1923 at Presbyterian Parsonage, Newberry, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2 Elmer Rantz Pryor died on 23 September 1962 at farm of Christian (Scholderer) Sholder, Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 58 years, 4 months and 3 days.5,3,1 He was buried on 25 September 1962 in the Twin Hills Memorial Park, located in Fairfield Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.5
He was employed by the foundry in Williamsport. He appeared on the census of January 1920 in the household of Walter Henry Pryor and Cora Belle Frisbee at Williamsport, 10th Ward, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Elmer Rantz Pryor and Erma Alberta Sholder appeared on the census of 3 May 1940 at Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Elmer Rantz Pryor was a member of the Bethel United Presbyterian Church and the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge #145. circa 1950.
Elmer Rantz Pryor was listed in Ethel Irene Pryor's obituary in April 1998 in the local paper, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, as her deceased brother.1
