Mabel M. DeRemer was born on 13 September 1881.2,3,1 She was the daughter of Clarence J. DeRemer and Annie [—?—]. Mabel M. DeRemer married Clarence M. Sholder, son of Benjamin Sholder and Emma L. Goldy, circa 1901.1 Mabel M. DeRemer died on 8 April 1940 at Williamsport RD 2, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 58 years, 6 months and 26 days.2,3,1 She was buried on 11 April 1940 in the Montoursville Cemetery, located in Montoursville, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1,3
She appeared on the census of 5 June 1900 in the household of Charles DeRemer and Margaret [—?—] at Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Mabel M. DeRemer and Clarence M. Sholder appeared on the census of 21 April 1910 at Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Mabel M. DeRemer and Clarence M. Sholder joined the Presbyterian Church of Williamsport on 3 April 1911. Her obituary was published sometime in April 1940 in the local paper, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary stated:
Sholder - Mrs. Mabel DeRemer Sholder, 58, of Williamsport R. D. 2, wife of Clarence Sholder, died Monday at her home. Surviving are her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Leo Bartlow, at home; Mrs. Vernon Kelley, of this city, and Mrs. Paul Ratcliff, of New York City; three sons, W. Dale, Frederick, and Clarence B., at home; two brothers, Charles DeRemer, of Williamsport R. D. 2, and Clarence J. DeRemer, of this city, and nine grandchildren. Mrs. Sholder was a member of the Bethel Presbyterian Church and of the auxiliary of William F. Rick Camp No. 47, Spanish-American War Veterans. Services were held Thursday afternoon at the Knight funeral home. Burial was in the Montoursville Cemetery.1
