Lewis Fry Donnally was born on 9 June 1824 at Kanawha County, Virginia.1 He was the son of Andrew Donnally and Marjory VanBibber.1 Lewis Fry Donnally first married, at age 24, Eliza Maria Reynolds, daughter of Charles G. Reynolds and Frances Dawson Slaughter, on Tuesday, 1 May 1849 at Kanawha County, Virginia.1 Lewis Fry Donnally married a second time, at age 34, Miriam Slaughter Welch, age 20, daughter of Levi Welch and Catherine Gissage Slaughter, on Wednesday, 4 May 1859 at Kanawha County, Virginia.2,1 Lewis Fry Donnally died on 29 July 1895 at Kanawha County, West Virginia, at age 71 years, 1 month and 20 days.1 He was buried in the Spring Hill Cemetery, located in Charleston, Kanawha County, West Virginia.
