Johann Jacob Sigmund1

M, (12 November 1776 - before 1850)
Johann Jacob Sigmund was born on 12 November 1776 at Immendingen, Oberamt Tuttlingen, Schwarzwaldkreis, Württemberg.1 He first married, at age 20, Christiane Friederike Gohl, age 37, daughter of Johann Christian Gohl and Elisabetha Dietz, on Tuesday, 26 September 1797 at Degerloch, Oberamt Stuttgart, Neckarkreis, Württemberg.1 Johann Jacob Sigmund married a second time, at age 40, Christina Margareta Kaiser, age 42, daughter of Christian Kaiser and Christina Margareta Gohl, on Tuesday, 17 June 1817 at Degerloch, Oberamt Stuttgart, Neckarkreis, Württemberg.1 Johann Jacob Sigmund died before 1850 at Pennsylvania.
He and Christina Margareta Kaiser immigrated in 1831 to North America with her second husband Johann Jacob Sigmund with her son Christian August Scholderer and his bride Anna Margaretha Lutscher. They went to find Johann Sigmund's son to his first wife, Samuel Friedrich somewhere in North America, presumably in Pennsylvania since that is where they settled.

Johann Jacob Sigmund was probably included as a free white male, between the age of 60 and under 70 years, in Christian August Scholderer's household, enumerated 1 June 1840 in the Sixth Census for the United States of America, Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2
