Dorothy Margaret Mulfinger was born on 5 December 1907 at Pleasant Gap, Spring Township, Centre County, Pennsylvania.1 She was the daughter of William Ernest Derone and Gertrude May Mulfinger. Dorothy Margaret Mulfinger died on 26 October 2000 at State College, Centre County, Pennsylvania, at age 92 years, 10 months and 21 days.1 She was buried in October 2000 in the mausoleum, in the Centre County Memorial Park, located in State College, Centre County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was officiated by George Burn.1
Dorothy Margaret Mulfinger appeared on the census of 20 April 1930 in the household of William Ernest Derone and Gertrude May Mulfinger at Williamsport, 3rd Ward, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary was published on 27 October 2000 in the Centre Daily Times, printed in State College, Centre County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary stated:
Dorothy M. Mulfinger, 92, a resident of The Fairways at Bro-okline Village in State College, formerly of New Cumberland, died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000, at The Fairways.
She was born Dec. 5, 1907, in Pleasant Gap.
She was a 1923 graduate of Pleasant Gap High School and attended a business college in Williamsport for two years.
In the 1930s under President Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal, she worked for the Works Progress Administration.
Later she worked for the Federal Aviation Administration, administering tests to certify for a pilot's license.
She is survived by a sister, Joan, of Williamsport; four nieces and nephews; and five grandnieces.
There will be no public visitation.
Memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Mausoleum Chapel at Centre County Memorial Park, College Township, with the Rev. George Burn officiating. Entombment will be in the mausoleum.
