     Walter Lewis Ashby was born in 1862 at Missouri. He was the son of Richard Johnson Ashby and Margery Lewis. Walter Lewis Ashby married Mary C. Power in 1889 at Kanawha County, West Virginia. Walter Lewis Ashby died on 12 May 1920 at Charleston, Kanawha County, West Virginia, at age 58 years.1 He was buried in the Spring Hill Cemetery, located in Charleston, Kanawha County, West Virginia.1
