James William Cline was born on 15 September 1945 at Jersey Shore, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3,4,2 He was the son of Ralph William Cline and Eva Elizabeth Heyd.5 James William Cline married, at age 22, Darla Rae Delker, daughter of Elmer Delker and Eleanor Edythe Metzger, on Saturday, 17 February 1968.6,2 James William Cline died on 3 August 2002 at age 56 years, 10 months and 19 days.7,4 He was buried in the Salladasburg Cemetery, located in Salladasburg, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend Walter Pifer.8
His obituary was published on 5 August 2002 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:
James W. Cline, 56, of 12310 West Rte. 973 Highway, Jersey Shore, went home to be with his Lord and Savior August 3, 2002. He and his wife, the former Darla Delker, celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary on February 17, 2002.
James was a member of Jersey Mills Baptist church where he served as a deacon and a Sunday school teacher. He was employed by Beiter's as a salesman. James enjoyed hunting and reading, but was the happiest when he was spending time with his family being a husband, father and grandfather and a friend to all.
Born on September 15, 1945, in Jersey Shore, he was the son of Ralph W. and Eva E. Heyd Cline.
Surviving besides his wife, are a son, Craig W. (Holly) of Jersey Shore; daughter, Renee E. (Ty) Sheddy of Jersey Shore; a sister Nancy E. (Larry) Cosentine of Jersey Shore; two granddaughters Elizabeth and Jordan Sheddy and 2 nephews, Daniel and Andrew Cosentine.
A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at the Rearick-Capenter Funeral home, "A Life Celebration Home," 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore, with the Rev. Walter Pifer officiating. Interment will be in Salladasburg Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
The family will provide flowers and asks that memorial contributions be made to: Salladasburg Elementary School PTO to purchase library books, 3490 Rte. 287 Highway, Jersey Shore PA 17740, or to the Shepherd s Baptist Home, 105 15th Ave., P.O. Box 400, Union Grove, WI 53182.5
