Bessie Pearl Stabler was born on 13 February 1889 at farm of Abraham Stabler, Anthony Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 She was the daughter of Abraham Stabler and Margaretha Anna Rhote. Bessie Pearl Stabler married, at age 41, Edward Weiss Arnold, age 41, son of Harvey O. Arnold and Mary Ann Weiss, on Saturday, 3 January 1931.1 Bessie Pearl Stabler died on 10 August 1974 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 85 years, 5 months and 28 days.1 She was buried on 13 August 1974 in the Wildwood Cemetery, located in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
She was a member of the Pine Street United Methodist Church. Taught at Salladasburg area Schools; Psychology, Socialolgy, Physical Geography and Literature. She worked as a Sec. for Union Central Life Insurance after retiring from teaching. Also a member of the Women's Society of Christian Service. She and Edward did not have any children. She died after a lengthy illness at her home in Williamsport at 1617 Elmira Street.

This Bible originally belonged to Abraham Stabler (1845-1923) being handed down on his death to his son Pierce Albert Stabler (1871-1941) and remained in the Stabler household until his death. At this time his son Frederick Ulmer Stabler (1907-2005) owned the Bible until the time of his death at which time it passed to his son Daniel Leroy Stabler.
