Eliza Ellen Ramsey was born on 2 May 1862 at Missouri. She was the daughter of James Ramsey and Elizabeth Ellen Irvine. Eliza Ellen Ramsey married, at age 18, William Franklin VanBebber, age 27, son of Calvin VanBebber and Barthena A. VanBebber, on Sunday, 9 May 1880. Eliza Ellen Ramsey died on 4 October 1944 at age 82 years, 5 months and 2 days.

SERVICES FOR MRS. ELIZA VAN BEBBER HERE TODAY
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at the L. P. Anker Mortuary, at two o'clock, for Mrs. Eliza Van Bebber, a resident of Willits for the past 43 years, who passed away here Wednesday, after an illness of several months.
Mrs. Van Bebber, a native of Missouri, was born May 2, 1862, and came to California in 1880.
Before leaving her home state she was married to William Frank Van Bebber, who passed away here in 1932. They were the parents of 11 children, eight boys and three girls, all but two of whom survive.
The sons are Charles of Willits, James of Bakersfield, William of Willits, Tom of Paxton, Calif., Ray of Illinois, and Fred of San Francisco. Harry and John are the two who did not survive their parents.
The daughters are Mrs. Bertha Cleveland of Willits, Mrs. Nell Snow of Redding and Mrs. Ann Talbot of San Francisco.
There are 16 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. All of the surviving children will be here today for the funeral services except two, Mrs. Snow and Ray, who were unable to come home.
Mrs. Van Bebber lived an active life up to about five years ago, but since that time had been more or less bedridden. She became critically ill early in the summer and has been declining since then.
Rev. J. H. Howe will officiate at the services this afternoon, which will be followed by interment in the Odd Fellows cemetery.
