     Roberta A. Updegraff was born on 5 December 1912 at Newberry Township, York County, Pennsylvania.1,2 She was the daughter of Norman Updegraff and Mary S. Ryder.1 Roberta A. Updegraff married, at age 22, Harry D. Gross, age 27, son of David D. Gross and Sarah Ann Waltemeyr, on Friday, 11 January 1935 at Maryland.1 Roberta A. Updegraff died on 16 September 2004 at age 91 years, 9 months and 11 days.2
     She appeared on the census of 5 January 1920 in the household of Norman Updegraff and Mary S. Ryder at Newberry Township, York County, Pennsylvania. Roberta A. Updegraff appeared on the census of 8 April 1930 in the household of Norman Updegraff and Mary S. Ryder at Newberry Township, York County, Pennsylvania. As of 1970, Roberta A. Updegraff and Harry D. Gross lived at 409 Edgehill Road, York, Pennsylvania.1 She was widowed at age 59 by the death of Harry on 16 March 1972.1
